The primary idea behind Seedy Sunday is a Seed Swap. Local people and visitors alike are invited to bring along their excess or unwanted seeds, labelled and dated, to swap out with others. If you're getting fed up with growing the same plants each year, you might make some surprising discoveries of other species that are successful in Eastbourne soil. However, if you didn't save any seeds this year, don't feel you will have to miss out. You can simply buy seeds instead.
Seedy Sunday is much more than just Seed Swapping though. There will be various stalls, arts and crafts, workshops, talks and lots more. Stalls already confirmed include some selling plants, furniture made from recycled wood, Friends of the Earth, and Susie Seedpod's Healing Garden. Talk topics include biodiversity and food security. There will also be a Café open all day serving home cooked food. Latest information is available on the Facebook page together with photographs taken at last year's event.
