Hailsham's Outdoor Big Draw!

I saw this post on the Gallery North blog yesterday and think it might interest Theatrical Eastbourne readers, especially if you've got kids to entertain! The event has its own Facebook group with the most up-to-date information.

"Join Gallery North's Josie Tipler and Felicity Price-Smith for our 'Outdoor Big Draw' event on Saturday 19th October. This is a free outdoor sketching session as part of the annual international Big Draw festival.

Meet at Gallery North at 10am, we will then proceed to various locations in Hailsham, sketching anything and everything around us. This is an informal drawing group not a tutored workshop, so you can share ideas or just do your own thing.

All ages and abilities are welcome, and it is completely free, so whether you are a "I can't draw"-er or a seasoned professional, come along and have some fun!

Basic paper and pencils can be provided but do bring sketchbooks, pens, pencils and anything else suitable to work en plein air. We will be sitting outside so wrap up warm. In case of bad weather we will hold a drawing workshop inside at Gallery North.

The Big Draw Festival is coordinated by the Campaign for Drawing, an independent national organisation which raises the profile of drawing as a tool for thought, creativity, social and cultural engagement."

Gallery North, Sat 19th Oct, 10:00.
Admission free.
