The Mousetrap (theatre)

The famed Agatha Christie play Mousetrap is undertaking it's first national tour to celebrate its 60th Anniversary and Eastbourne's Congress Theatre is one of the venues that has been chosen to stage the record-breaking play. Mysteries and thrillers are always popular with Eastbourne audiences, especially the Agatha Christie Theatre Company whose noses hopefully aren't put too out of joint!

In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner. The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed.

As of the 22nd of July in Salford, the cast included Steven France as Christopher Wren, Thomas Howes as Sgt Trotter, Karl Howman as Mr Paravicini, Bruno Langley as Giles Ralston, and Graham Seed as Major Metcalf. I don't know which of these will be at the Congress though!

Congress Theatre, Mon 9th to Sat 14th Sep, 19:30.
Thu and Sat matinees, 14:30.
Tickets various prices, available online, by calling 01323 812000 or in person at the Box Office and the Tourist Information Office.
