There's a fantastic multimedia evening at Herstmonceux Observatory coming up in August. Curated by community arts venue The Kave Gallery, Kosmic Krash will have music, exciting lightshows, a bar, DJs, space talk, science experiments, the Perseid meteor shower and (probably) the biggest telescopes you've ever seen! The whole Observatory will be given over to different creative organizations for the evening with each curating individual areas of the site - either a telescope or a geo-dome. Plus guests will get to look through the Observatory's telescopes (weather permitting) and the Wealden Astronomical Society will be on hand to laser point out the constellations. Last year, they also pointed out the International Space Station as it flew over too! Kosmic Krash will be a truly unique experience.
Kave have announced the following artists and I think there are still a few more as yet unconfirmed but up-to-date details are on the Facebook page: AGATHE MAX and CYRIL M, ASHLEY BEEDLE (with DARREN MORRIS as AFRIKANZ ON MARZ), GALAXIANS, DISASTRONAUT (The Busy Bee Soundsystem), NEGATIVE PEGASUS, TOMAGA, HIMMEL, SYNTHESIZE ME DJs, DUNDERHEAD, INNERSTRINGS, PSYCHEDELIC LIGHTSHOW, JULIAN HAND, TUNC et NUNC (Members of Brighton Consort), and NO MIDDLE NAME.
