There's a fabulous selection of artist's work soon to be displayed as part of the artwave festival at Seaford's Driftwood Garden. The exhibition will be open over the three days of the the August Bank Holiday weekend and also on the Saturdays and Sundays of the following two weekends.
I spotted this poster on their Facebook page and recognised Sheila Bourn's distinctive bathing belle straight away. There will also be painting and a collage by Mark Glassman whose work I previously saw at Until The Cows Come Home. Of the fourteen chosen artists, five are brand new to Driftwood and one is returning after having been at the very first event back in 2009.
Are you sitting comfortably? Here's the full list:
Ceramics by Sheena Bourn, ceramics by Su Cloud, handmade jewellery by Sarah Stonehouse, painting and collage by Mark Glassman, wooden driftwood fish by Lee Highley, cast glass pieces by Miranda Ellis, ceramic figurines by Michele Findlay, garden metal work by Chris Burchell Collins, metal sculpture by Serena Thirkell, metal alliums by Si Uwins, sculpture by Paul Cox, hand made bags by Celia Hughes, carved limestone by Paula Haughney and ceramics by Cat Brown. Plus visitors will of course get to see the gorgeous Drifwood Garden which has been featured in the Daily Mail and Sussex Life. All proceeds from refreshment sales and the raffle of artists' work will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
