Summer In February (film)

A love triangle in an Edwardian artists' colony in Cornwall is the theme and setting for Summer In February. Although apparently not a great period masterpiece, Christopher Menual's film does boast beautiful Cornish scenery as it was filmed on location there early last year. Locations include Penzance, Lamorna and Prussia Cove, and the National Trust sites Holywell and Porthcurno.

The Lamorna Group of artists included Alfred Munnings (Dominic Cooper) and Summer In February tells the story of the love triangle between Alfred, his friend Gilbert Evans (Dan Stevens) and the girl they both loved, Florence Carter-Wood (Emily Browning). It is based on the novel of the same name by Jonathan Smith. The Group was part of the Newlyn School and was founded by Samuel John Birch, nicknamed "Lamorna".
