I keep checking the local cinema websites in the hopes of finding a film to go see, but it seems that the further we get into blockbuster season, the less appeals! We are going to Animal Crackers in June, and hopefully by the time this post publishes I will have gotten around to buying the tickets, but I would like something a bit more up to date as well! However, in the meantime, Cineworld's arts programme continues and an operatic concert by a global megastar is on the cards for June.
Anna Netrebko will be joined by baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky for "Live from the Red Square", a concert of arias and duets by Verdi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky and more. The grand concert will be broadcast across Russia and Europe from Moscow's historic Red Square. Anna and Dmitri will be accompanied by Russia's State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" and Academic Grand Choir "Masters of Choral Singing", under the baton of Constantine Orbelian.
Cineworld, Wed 19th Jun, 19:30.
Tickets £14.20 adults, £12.10 concessions, available online, by calling 0871 200 2000, or in person in the foyer.
