Revenge Fantasy Club (theatre)

The Revenge Fantasy Club
Theatre with a difference on the blog today in that the play in question is being performed in a bistro, namely Bibendum French in Grove Road. The Revenge Fantasy Club was written by Mark Hewitt and originally premiered at Farnham Maltings in March 2012 as part of their Eat Theatre project. It is touring to café-bars and restaurant venues in the South East, London and Manchester during April and May 2013 and the tour includes dates for both Eastbourne Festival and the Brighton Fringe.

Two women, Shelley (Kathryn McGarr) and Bridget (Jo Bowis) meet in a cafe for a bite to eat and a chat. But as their conversation turns ever more spicy we realise there’s more to these ladies than lunching. Performed in an intimate setting, audience feedback on Mark Hewitt's website describes the play as "almost like overhearing a conversation in a restaurant / cafe", "light hearted with dark moments. Lots of humour."

Mon 15th Apr 2013, 19:45, restaurant open for food and drink from 18:30.
