Fame (musical theatre)

The first week of April sees the welcome return of Rattonians Youth Section to the Congress Theatre with their performance of the iconic musical Fame. The musical is directed by Alex Adams who performed as Don Lockwood in last year's Singin' In The Rain. Debbie Hackett is sure to produce stunning choreography throughout and the musical director is Carl Greenwood.

Set in 1984 at the La Guardia High School for Performing Arts in New York, Fame tells the stories of a disparate group of students struggling to train as singers, comedians, actors and dancers. Originally a film released in 1980, Fame went on to become a massively popular television series before being adapted to the stage. Rattonians have performed this musical before, back in 2007, but this was before the founding of the Youth Section so, of anyone can remember the previous production, it will be interesting to learn the differences.
