Gabrielle Stephens (music)

Classical guitarist Gabrielle Stephens was the first performer at the Hailsham Arts Festival this summer and has recently played a recital at the Lamb Theatre in Old Town. Her next local engagement will be the last Underground Theatre coffee morning session of 2012 on the 29th December. This will also be the last day of the Christine Munro art exhibition in the Underground foyer.

She studied at Trinity College of Music in London and at Birmingham Conservatoire and is now much in demand as a wedding musician. Her repertoire includes works by a variety of composers. The Underground recital is expected to include German baroque music by J S Bach and Johann Pachelbel, Italian Romantic music by Giuseppe Verdi and contemporary South American music by the 20th century Brazilian composer, Heitor Villa-Lobos.
