East Sussex Open submissions (art)

East Sussex Open 2011
Having got far too excited about having a piece of my artwork in the Towner Gallery as part of the St Wilfrid's Big Art Secret earlier this year, I have had half an eye open for the East Sussex Open which will be at the same venue. However, suggesting to my partner that he should enter some of his photography has been met with blank looks - he doesn't seem so keen!

The East Sussex Open 2013 will take place from the 9th of March to the 28th of April and is open to any adult artists and makers who live within East Sussex. For the first time, this also includes those living in Brighton and Hove. Works in pretty much any media will be considered - presumably as long as they will fit into the Gallery but with their halls having a total area of 668 square metres and the ceilings being 4.5 metres high, you'd need to do a lot of creating to exceed the space!

The judging panel is led by the Towner's Exhibitions Curator Sanna Moore and she will be joined by artists Alessandro Raho and Susan Diab. They would like to see digital images of entries and the stipulations about how these should be submitted are strict. If you are considering submitting your work, read the ESO Application Form carefully! The Towner are offering two workshops, one on the 16th Nov and one on the 15th Dec, to help with photo-shopping images if this is not your strong point - details are on their website.

Closing date for submissions, Sun 6th Jan, 16:00.
Entry fee £15 which covers up to 5 items.
