St Wilfrid's Big Art Secret

Do you remember back at the end of May I blogged about The Big Art Secret, a fundraising initiative for St Wilfrid's Hospice

Over 550 postcards were donated to the cause including some by celebrities such as Tracey Emin and a trio of Davids: Hockney, Cameron and Dimbleby. Cards have also been donated by dozens of artists, local people and hospice patients. I know that Eastbourne artist Corina Stupu Thomas has a card in the exhibition, as do I! St Wilfrid's is hoping auctioning these artworks will help towards the £5.3million they need to raise to transform end of life care for every person in our community.

The Towner Gallery is the physical venue for the exhibition where the cards will be on show from the 13th to the 20th of October. There will also be ten-day eBay auctions running from the 11th to the 21st of October and everyone is encouraged to bid for their favourite card. Even if 'your artist' doesn't turn out to be a celebrity, this is still a great way to buy an unusual artwork and help a very deserving cause at the same time.

St Wilfrid's say they will be posting the link to the eBay auctions soon. I will tweet and update this page when I know it!  eBay auctions here!

Towner Gallery, Sat 13th to Sat 20th Oct, 10:00-18:00.
Free admission. Closed on Mondays.
