Another musical for the Devonshire Park Theatre on today's blog as the wartime musical comedy Radio Times heads to Eastbourne.
Radio Times is a light hearted show featuring the nostalgic music of Noel Gay (Me And My Girl). Songs in the show will include Run Rabbit Run, Hey Little Hen, My Thanks To You and There's Something About A Soldier. The current tour is presented by the Watermill Theatre and stars Gary Wilmot (Chicago, Me And My Girl) and Sara Crowe (Private Lives, Four Weddings & A Funeral). The fifteen-strong cast of actor/musicians also includes Amelia Cormack who you might remember from her strong performance as Freda Jefferies in Murder Mistaken at the Devonshire Park back in July.
In the heart of London’s Blitz-torn West End, the cast of the BBC’s light-entertainment radio show, Variety Bandwagon, are doing their bit for the war effort. But with the bombs falling outside, can star of the show Sammy Shaw hang on to his leading lady and broadcast live to America for the first time?
