Honeybees - The Musical (musical theatre)

Honeybees the Musical! is being put on as a fundraising event for Allsorts YouthProject, an award-winning Brighton-based charity that supports young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, or unsure of their sexuality. The musical has already been performed in Brighton and has a 'for one night only' in Eastbourne before it goes to London where it will be performed at RADA!

The script is written by Cat Walker and Rebecca Duffy, and the music and lyrics are by Dungareen Jean who has crafted songs from a variety of genres specially for the show. You can expect to hear rock, pop and hip-hop, as well as showstopping numbers such as 'Hockey Horror' sung by Lady Lager.

Follow the adventures of lesbian women's hockey team, the Brighton Honeybees, as they prepare to take on arch rivals the Hove Hornets to win the cup, get the girl and try not to get the wrong end of the stick.

“If you see just one lesbian hockey musical this year - it has to be this one!”

Underground Theatre, Sunday 17th June, 19:30.
£8 (concessions £5). Tickets are available at
